Euthalia telchinia  (Ménétriés, 1857) male Malayalam Name  : നീല കനിതോഴൻ Family  : Nyphalidae Sub-family              : Limetidinae Tribe                      :  Leptociaini Order : Lepidoptera DIST RIBUTION                   South and SouthEast Asia.  This species is historically known in the   Western Ghats   from a single verified record from   Dakshina Kannada  .   Several more unconfirmed records have been subsequently reported.   But no new records after that. STATUS:    HABITAT  HABITS The wing is not flapped very far below the horizontal. This butterfly has a stiff flap glide style of flying. It flies at low heights and maintains a territory.
