Zizina otis indica (Murray, 1874) Malayalam Name : ചെറു പുൽ നീലി Order : Lepidoptera Super Family : Papilionoidae (Butterflies) Family : Lycaenidae Sub Family : Polyomatinae DISTRIBUTION Indo-Malayan realm. STATUS: Less Common HABITAT: HABITS IDENTIFICATION FEATURES Wing Span: SIMILAR SPECIES The lesser grass blue is often misidentified as Zizina labradus, the common grass blue. LARVAL HOST PLANTS The species breeds on many plants of the family Leguminosae including Alysicarpus vaginalis, Desmodium species,Glycine max, Indigofera species, and Mimosa species.
