DISTRIBUTION
                found in the Indian subcontinent, southeastern Asia, and Australia.
STATUS:    It is uncommon, but not considered to be threatened as a species

IDENTIFICATION  FEATURES
 It has a small wingspan of 2.5 to 5 cm (1 to 2 in). The upper side of the otherwise white forewing has a large, somewhat pear-shaped, black spot; this spot is also present on the underside which is scattered with greenish dots and speckles, sometimes arranged in bands.

LARVAL HOST PLANTS
Capparis spp.- C. baducca, C. spinosa, C. zeylanica, Crateva adansonii, Crateva religiosa (Capparaceae); Azima tetracantha (Salvadoraceae); Cleome rutidosperma var. burmannii, C. viscosa (Cleomaceae).
